The Longhorns earned 1544 poll points with 56 of the 62 first-place votes after beating Oklahoma 34-3 in the Red River rivalry game to knock the Sooners out of the AP Top 25.
Oregon climbed to No. 2 with 1493 poll points and first-place votes (6) for the first time this season after trading jabs with Ohio State for a 32-31 home win.
No. 3 Penn State (1380 poll points) climbs to its highest AP ranking of the season after surviving at USC, 33-30.
Ohio State (1357 poll points) dropped to No. 4, with ranked matchups ahead against No. 3 Penn St, No. 24 Michigan.
