The top 5 remain unchanged with Oregon at CFP No. 1 for the third week after a 16-13 win at Wisconsin in Week 12 — Oregon has a bye week before facing rival Washington (6-5, 4-4 B1G) in Week 14.
Ohio State maintained the Big Ten’s sweep of the top two spots — Oregon won heads-up over the visiting Buckeyes, 32-31 in Week 7. Ohio State faces undefeated No. 5 Indiana in Week 13, and rival Michigan in Week 14.
Texas leads the SEC, holding steady at CFP No. 3.
Penn State held its position at No. 4.
ACC: 3 ranked, 1 in top 12
Led by CFP No. 8 Miami (up one spot after a bye week), ACC teams in the playoff rankings include No. 13 SMU, and No. 17 Clemson (up three after winning 24-20 at Pitt).
Previous No. 19 Louisville dropped from the CFP Top 25 after losing 38-35 at Stanford.
B1G: 5 ranked, 4 in top 12
Oregon is CFP No. 1 for the third week — four of the five CFP-ranked Big Ten teams are in the top five spots.
Behind No. 1 Oregon, CFP-ranked B1G teams include No. 2 Ohio State, No. 4 Penn State, and No. 5 Indiana.
No. 25 Illinois earned its first CFP ranking of the season after winning 38-16 over visiting Michigan State.
Big 12: 4 ranked, none in top 12
The Big 12 added a fourth CFP-ranked team but lost its only top-12 contender after BYU’s 17-13 loss to visiting Kansas.
CFP-No. 14 BYU (down eight spots) is followed by No. 16 Colorado, No. 21 Arizona State (ranked after a 24-14 win at Kansas State), and No. 22 Iowa State.
Previous No. 16 Kansas State dropped out of the CFP Top 25.
SEC: 8 ranked, 5 in top 12
Led by CFP-No. 3 Texas, the SEC has five teams in the top 12 spots, including No. 7 Alabama (up three spots), No. 9 Ole Miss (up two after a bye), No. 10 Georgia (up two after a 31-17 win over then-No. 7 Tennessee), and No. 11 Tennessee (down four spots).
Also representing the SEC in the playoff rankings are No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 18 South Carolina (up three after a 34-30 win over Missouri), and No. 23 Missouri.
Non-Power 4 in the top 12
Other teams in reach of the top 12 spots of the CFP rankings are No. 6 Notre Dame (up two after a 35-14 win over unranked Virginia) and No. 12 Boise State.
